Healthy Wasabi Lemon Salmon Burger

Salmon benefits

  • Salmon is rich in protein, vitamin Dcalcium (from the bones), and omega-3 fats. Omega-3 fats are heart-healthy fats and promote healthy brain development in babies and children.

Ingredients:

  • Two cans of salmon, drained

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 2, 1/2 tbsp wasabi mayonnaise (2tbsp mayo + 2 tbsp wasabi paste, combined)

  • 1 tsp minced garlic (2 garlic cloves)

  • One egg

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl. Scoop the mixture and mold each into a ball-shaped figure. Gently press on the ball-shaped mix to form a flat, round patty.

  2. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Use sesame oil for cooking.

  4. Cook patties until golden brown (3-4 mins.)

  5. Serve and enjoy on a whole grain Kaiser bun with lettuce and tomato, an extra squeeze of lemon, and some extra wasabi mayo.
