What is healthy eating? Where does our food come from? What is sustainable eating? Happy Kids Nutrition Academy will help answer these questions and more.

Making healthy decisions about what you eat and drink, how active you are, and how much sleep you get is a great place to start. Learn about the science of food and nutrition so you can make better-informed decisions about your health and wellness. Our courses are jam-packed with handouts, and hands-on activities.  Below is a list of courses that we currently offer all year round.

This introductory nutrition class will teach students basic nutrition principles and theory so they can take steps to live a healthier lifestyle.

Fundamentals of Nutrition for Teens Part 2: Lifecycle Nutrition will analyze how nutrition patterns change throughout the lifespan, and how influences on food choices and eating patterns are shaped by factors throughout the lifespan.

Introduction to Food Science and Food Technology for Teens (With Labs)

Why is it important that you eat your vegetables? How does mold grow on bread? In this course, students will take on the role as food scientists and learn about our foods and technology used in manufacturing and preserving food.
